This resort complex, which is located directly on Playacar´s beautiful, sandy beach, consists of the Iberostar Tucan and the Iberostar Quetzal. A tropical forest sits between the two hotels, which are comprised of three-story buildings. The town of Playa del Carmen is a short two miles away and is easily accessible by taxi.

Amenities

This resort complex, surrounded by spacious, tropical gardens, blends harmoniously into the landscape. There is a spacious reception featuring a lobby with bar, lounge bar, main restaurant and several speciality restaurants. The resort offers a large pool area with an activities pool, a lagoon, an adults´ pool with swim-up bar and separate children´s pool. All lounge chairs, umbrellas and beach towels are complimentary. Other amenities include a Beach Club with restaurant, various shops, nightclub and entertainment center, room service from 11:00 am to 11:00 pm and internet access(for an additional charge).

Guests can take part in activities such as aerobics, waterpolo, table tennis, archery and one hour of tennis court usage per person per day (night tennis is available for an additional charge). Windsurfing, sailing and kayaking are also very popular.

Guests can enjoy the CDC PADI Gold Palm Resort Dive Center, which offers various diving courses from beginner to instructor levels. There are also nitrox courses, local and night dives for those who are certified, as well as cenote diving. Equipment rental, snorkel tours and courses are also available.

The newly renovated spa boasts a steam bath, Jacuzzies and several massage cabins. The spa also offers a variety of the finest massages and beauty treatments

This resort offers a variety of entertainment and activities, including sports, competitions and games. The resort also has a program called Lucy”s Mini-Club where children ages 4-12 can enjoy a variety of fun, supervised activities, including games, singing, painting and swimming in the children´s pool.

Accommodations

Accommodations here include 350 tastefully decorated guest rooms, each with one king size bed or two double beds and a fold-out sofa. All rooms are equipped with private bath or shower, air conditioning, ceiling fan, hairdryer, telephone, satellite TV, mini-bar and safety deposit box. Each room also has either a balcony or terrace.

Restaurants and Bars

The all-inclusive resort offers guests the option of dining at various buffets in the main restaurant for breakfast, lunch and dinner. The beach restaurant offers light fare throughout the day. For dinner, guests can make a reservation at one of the specialty restaurants, offering Mexican, Brazilian and other tropical cuisine. All drinks, including a selection of international beverages, 24-hour bar service, mineral water, soft drinks and beer from the mini-bar, are included. The resort bars do not serve alcoholic beverages between the hours of 2 a.m. and 9 a.m. Guests receive complimentary entry to the nightclub
